olivia from may

last may i did a shoot with olivia ross, who is a local model here in louisville. she is the epitome of great, nice, sweet, perfect, etc. i've done 2 more shoots with her since then, and i am going to do many more before she leaves for college! these are from our first shoot together, and since my new photos won't be up for another week, here are some from that shoot.

yay! but wow i only took horizontal photos back then and now i'm practically taking all vertical. my style has changed some since last may (at least i would hope so!) and i really want to see where it's going. i have 7 rolls of film at the lab to be processed right now, and i'll get them back at the end of the week so expect something new by then :)

last february

almost a year ago i started shooting film seriously. i finished my 365 (the last 3 months of it?) in film, and it all started in february of 2011. my digital camera breaking was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. this was a good month, i remember. i only took 3 rolls of film total this month, but hey they were good memories. here are 3 frames from my start of film:

my love of almost 2 and a half years

ryan and i met at a death cab for cutie concert on april 10, 2009 and fell in love in october of that year. ever since july 26, 2009 we have been a couple, and on the 26th of this month we will have been dating for 2 and a half years. hey ryan, if you're reading this, i love you so much. here are some pictures from around ryan's house this past franey friday.

someone else's lake

yesterday becca and i went to a lake in the east end by the river and shot there with a bunch of cool props and nice attire. i didn't do any planning for this shoot and i like it a lot. i've made a couple of vows to myself about photography: 1. not plan so much 2. not have shoots on weekdays unless i don't have school and 3. never pay models to work with me. i don't know just some basic stuff. i like where i'm headed right now, life is so good. it's so beautiful outside and the winter light is treating me well. i plan to shoot with serene soon, she's sitting right next to me now but we're just hanging out just as best friends should! ok well enough rambling here are the pictures:

new years at the reiserts

last night/this morning i went to ryan's house for new years eve. we (along with his mom and dad) watched the big lebowski together, which has to be the weirdest movie ever. then ryan and i watched 30 rock until the new year. it's 2012!!! it's so weird to be in ~january~ i thought december would last forever. anywayzzz below are some instaxes i took last night
